Wolfsbane - Day Two.
Sep. 21st, 2007 12:19 amRemus put off drinking the potion until it was time to go to bed. The previous night it hadn't taken too long for the exhaustion to kick in shortly after drinking it, and tonight he had needed to finish his lesson plan for the next day before he could allow that to happen. Focusing on work allowed him to feel useful - needed - rather than just weak, how he usually felt throughout the week before the full moon. He was doing a very good job keeping up with his lessons, even if it left him drained by the end of the day, and that made everything much easier to endure.
Not wanting to give himself a chance to start dreading drinking the potion even more, he downed it as quickly as he possibly could and immediately reached for the chocolate bar that Tonks had left for him. One more night, a few more to go, he thought with a small wry smile.
While he got ready for bed his mind started to drift towards the upcoming full moon and how different it would be this time. He was going to face Fenrir. He was going to fight using his wolf form...
Tomorrow he would concentrate on this more, he concluded with a small sigh as he padded towards the bedroom. Tonight he just wanted to be with his wife.
Once he opened the door to the bedroom and saw her curled up in bed, reading, he couldn't help but smile softly at her. "Can't sleep, love?"
