ooc. character information/reference

This post has from basic character information, to 'explanations' as to how (and where) Remus stands in some communities, to my own canon for him. It's basically just as a reference. Please feel free to point out any mistake that I could've made, or anything that I'm missing? It'd be greatly appreciated. <3
This is, of course, for mun information only. Unless it has already been discussed with the muse. ... You know what I mean. ;)
Character information Mostly canon; mixed in fanon as well.
Name: Remus John Lupin
Nickname(s): Moony
Date of Birth: March 10th 1960 (died on May 2nd 1998)
Other: Halfblood (Father was a wizard, mother was a muggle); werewolf (since February 24th 1967)
Hogwarts House: Gryffindor (1971-1978) (Prefect on 5th year)
Affiliations: Marauders, Order of the Phoenix
Patronus: Padfoot. Well, actually, it's a dog/puppy that's supposed to be Padfoot.
Relationship status: Married to Nymphadora Tonks
Physical Appearance:Very Thin since he has a hard time gaining weight despite how much chocolate he constantly eats; the week prior to the full moon, and a few days after it, he's mostly ill so his body can never truly adjust. He has various scars along his body from uncontrolled transformations and from the night that Fenrir Greyback bit him. (
hpsixwords 'verse and any communities that go with this: After the fight with Fenrir he also sustained numerous new scars along his chest, once more on his shoulder, and the most obvious being on his neck. Werewolf wounds are cursed and therefore can never truly heal, so these marks along his body are obvious.)
Personal past/Personality: Remus is very quiet unless spoken to. After so many years of living on his own and basically isolating himself, for him to be able to trust someone wholeheartedly is very rare. As it is, even with the people he loves, there are certain aspects of his life that he can't bring himself to share. Sometimes it's by choice, others it's simply because he doesn't know how to. He is a pro at putting up facades and using masks and layers to hide how he may truly feel about a situation; he may be livid in the inside, and the wolf may be ready to lash out, but he learned how to control his emotions enough to appear controlled and calm despite it all. When this control is lost, however, traces of the wolf are very visible in his appearance and he lashes out in a way that most would call 'uncharacteristic' because of how he normally is.
His family and friends mean the world to him. From a very young age he learned about discrimination towards werewolves, and he had to deal with the fact that his parents couldn't truly understand what he'd become during his transformations so the people that do accept him for what he is mean everything to him. He is willing to do, quite literally, anything for them.
After living so many years in poverty because werewolves couldn't be hired for regular employment in the wizarding world, Remus can do well enough with the bare minimum. Money and luxuries are not really what matter to him at all. As long as he has good company, something to eat (and even then that's not necessary), and chocolate then he is content.
Moony (werewolf): The week prior to the full moon, when Remus needs to start taking the Wolfsbane potion so he can be able to keep his mind rather than becoming the savage beast he'd be without it, he usually feels (and looks) ill to the point of looking as if he's not able to keep up with day-to-day things. This doesn't stop him, though, and he usually pushes himself until he can't possibly continue. On the full moon all this seems to disappear when Moony emerges, because the wolf is full of life. He has a need for open spaces and freedom, and whenever he feels trapped he bites himself in frustration. With the wolfsbane he's able to keep himself from doing this, however, and he either sleeps the night off or goes running. After the full moon, and after the body has gone under tremendous strain with the shift, Remus is left weak and tired for a few days but he does his best to gain strength as soon as possible so he can prepare himself for the next month.
Relationships: His closest friends while at school were Sirius Black, James Potter, Peter Pettigrew and Lily Evans. They were the first ones to ever show him what unconditional love really was. Romantically, Sirius Black was his first love and, even while Sirius was in Azkaban and he was well aware of the fact that he probably shouldn't love him anymore because of what had happened, Remus never stopped loving him. When they were reunited after those 12 years they rekindled that relationship, only to have that second chance taken away when Sirius went through the veil. Despite all the changes in his life, there is no way that Remus can ever truly stop loving Sirius. He was his first love, his first for so many things, and the piece of his heart and soul that he gave to him is something that will always belong to him.
In the Summer of 1997 Remus married Dora Tonks in a private ceremony, and together they have a son in early April of 1998. Before the Battle of Hogwarts Remus is every bit the family man he didn't think he could be and, after his confrontation with Harry where Harry reminds Remus that he has a responsibility with his family, Remus is very focused on them and on making them happy.
For more information on his backstory, the entries can be found here.
Communities:
* First of all, let me just clarify that sometimes I may take prompts from certain communities where the prompt fits more for another version of Remus rather than the one I post it in. Sometimes a certain prompt can even fit all versions of Remus that I play, but you can be sure that I try to label/categorize everything accordingly.
* Also, I really don't mind playing different versions of Remus (as you'll be able to see) in different timelines so I'm really open to whatever.
* The canon information I posted above is my base for Remus; all the canon, his relationship with Sirius, etc., unless I'm asked to edit stuff (and by that I mean, for example, if a Sirius!mun disagrees with the backstory etc, which I'd totally understand, and for that 'verse I would edit accordingly).
I think that's basically it. Any questions/comments/anything else are more than welcome. Interactions with people outside of the fandom are totally fine by me, by the way, and unless you specify which version you'd like to talk to usually the default is the version in
hpsixwords and all, because he's the one that comes out to play the most.
Whenever I'm needed my e-mail is r.moony@gmail.com. I try to constantly check my email, even if it might take me a bit to reply (since sometimes I get so impatient I check my email on my phone but I can't reply x_x) but you can be sure I'll get to it ASAP.

-au_muses: The intro and 'explanation' as to how I play Remus in this community can be found here. It basically covers the 'what if' scenario of what his life would have been like if Sirius would have taken Harry in after James and Lily were killed. Currently Harry is in his 7th year at Hogwarts and in the TriWizard Tournament, Remus is the DADA professor and has been ever since 1983, and he is in a very serious relationship with Sirius. For those entries, they are found here.
-hpsixwords: This is post-DH epilogue. Remus, along with many others that were killed in the first and second war, somehow make their way back to find that many years have passed. Sirius is alive when he returns. Harry has a family of his own. His son, Teddy, is 19. Shortly after returning they all fight a third war against Voldemort and, after a truce, they are able to regain their lives again but not without the extra baggage the war left them with. In that third war Remus fought a battle of werewolf vs. werewolf where Remus killed Fenrir Greyback; he watched his friends and family suffer, and all that (plus the previous two wars) have left deeper scars than Remus will ever truly talk about. He picked up his old habit of smoking to 'take away the edge' the wars left him with, but no one knows about it except for Harry, Sirius, James and Severus.
During the war Dora (pinkhairedauror) became pregnant again and they are expecting twin girls, plus they adopted a six-year old girl who had also been attacked by Fenrir. It's all about second (or third) chances, and trying to make things work. Remus has been hired again as the DADA professor at Hogwarts as well.
For entries for this 'verse, they can be found here.
-grownhp6words: This is a 'continuation' of
hpsixwords in the sense that it's the same characters as the previous community, but 10 years later. Besides from Teddy, Andrea and Annabella (the twins), and Maisie (the little girl they adopted), Remus and Dora also have a young son named Harry Alastor. Remus is the Deputy Headmaster at Hogwarts, while Severus Snape is the Headmaster. The scars from the wars are still there, and lately the wolf has been very...present no matter how normal he really looks, but that's because by this point Remus puts on masks and facades effortlessly. He would worry, really, if it wasn't for the fact that he's mostly protecting those he loves by keeping himself hidden.
Most of these posts can be found in the community itself or athp_random, but in the journal the entries for this can be found here.
-hp_beyond: This community can cover anything from canon to
grownhp6words to many years after that, so there's no set storyline in play. The one that has been going on lately, though, is one seventeen years after
grownhp6words. Remus is the godfather of Leo Black, Sirius' son, who has left Hogwarts so he can move to Milan. Remus is still the DADA professor and Deputy Headmaster. His children are all grown, and the youngest has recently moved to Italy as well. The transformations are starting to affect him more and more every month because of his age and how his body is, but trying to get him to admit that is impossible. Entries for this can be found mainly in the community, or at
hp_random as well.
-makeyourlist: This community is very simple; just lists and lists. I'll probably cover every version of Remus with this; entries will be found with this tag.
-the_bigshow: The main version of Remus in this community is set after Deathly Hallows, but before the epilogue. In other words, he's AU here again and set after the battle. For this storyline Tonks is
auror_aura. I haven't really posted as much as I should be, so not a lot of this 'canon' has been explored (especially since I've used some prompts for other versions of Remus >.>). Entries for this can be found here. With
likeaparfet interactions can range from any timeline at the moment, since nothing has really been set in stone.
-writers_muses: Here I have been covering aspects of Remus' life from canon, to his version in
hpsixwords/
grownhp6words. Again, if any of the prompts are used for another 'verse, you can be sure I will mark it as such.
I think that's basically it. Any questions/comments/anything else are more than welcome. Interactions with people outside of the fandom are totally fine by me, by the way, and unless you specify which version you'd like to talk to usually the default is the version in
