Remus' smile softened. "They didn't open that much, love. With the change it just caused some bleeding in some of them, but nothing how they had been in the beginning. Really, I'm all right."
It had just been the change that had done it. The bending and stretching his body did, and after just weeks of recuperating he wasn't surprised it had happened. If anything, he had expected things to be much worse.
"Sleeping in sounds wonderful." He kissed her cheek again before slowly laying down since he was just too tired to keep sitting. Holding back a wince as his sore body made contact with the mattress, he added quietly, "You don't work today?"
